Pumpkin Time!

Now that it is finally starting to feel a little like fall (at least fall in Florida) we decided to head out and pick up a pumpkin! Savannah loves to go to the pumpkin patch. She runs all around trying to pick up all of the pumpkins. The big attraction this year would have to be the white pumpkins. She loved them! There was a pumpkin tossing game and little pumpkins everywhere. She really enjoyed it. She also got to pull out and wear Meme's sweater that she made for Savannah. Savannah was so excited! She has wanted to wear this sweater/jacket since Meme gave it to her but it is just now getting cool enough to wear it. It looks like a water and has little watermelon buttons. Savannah was thrilled when she finally figured out how to do the buttons on her own (they are shaped different than normal buttons). Thank you Meme for the sweater!

Picture Walk

Well, it has been quite a while since I posted much so I am going to go with a picture walk through our last month. Here goes:

We took Savannah to see Sesame Street Live again this year. It was a new show though! She loved seeing Elmo. It was a good time for all! (Ok, Savannah may have enjoyed it more :) )

We took Savannah to Sea World to go Trick or Treating with our former small group. She is dressed up as Jessie from Toy Story 2. She had a wonderful time! So much so that we are taking her again this weekend with another friend! Here she is enjoying her favorite ride and getting snugly with a penguin.

My Dad and Brian tinted the windows in Savannah's room, the guest room and the toy room. We are hoping this will cut down on the heat on that side of the house.

Transportation Day Parade was a lot of fun. Savannah got to sit on a Police motorcycle (which she was all gung-ho about until she heard the siren), sit in the back of a Police car (hope that is the only time I have to see that!), stick her head out of the top of some kind of mountain rescue truck (in FL?), and "drive" a Model T.

Finally, Savannah took her first official field trip this past week. We walked down to the fire station. It was a lot of fun! I am enjoying being able to do the special activities with her this year since I am not teaching! Have a wonderful Halloween, if I do not get on here before then.

Interesting Article

Here is an article I found interesting:

I found the link on a blog I visit. I have never been a huge advocate of buying organic food. This article addresses many of the reasons I feel this way. What do you all think?
